What we collect
Your name, email, phone, flight details and travelers you add; bag names and photos; chip locations and battery level; order and shipping details. Card payments are processed by our payment provider — we never see or store your card number.
Why
To show where your bags are, alert you, ship chips, bill the tracking plan and help finders return your bag. We never sell your data and never use it for advertising.
Finders
When someone scans your finder tag they see only your first name and the bag's name. The contact details they leave are shared only with you.
How long we keep it
Location history is kept for 90 days, then deleted. Account data is kept until you delete your account.
Your rights
You can see, correct, download or delete your data at any time, including under California (CCPA/CPRA) and EU/UK (GDPR) law. Email privacy@bagbuddy.io and we'll respond within 30 days.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, and each account can only access its own bags and locations.
