By creating a Bag Buddy account, buying chips or starting the tracking plan you agree to these terms.
1. Allowed use — luggage only
Bag Buddy chips are for tracking your own luggage and belongings. You must never use a chip to track a person, or anyone's property without their consent. Doing so is illegal in many places and will get your account closed and reported to police.
2. Accounts
You must be 18 or older, give accurate details and keep your login safe. You're responsible for travelers you add to your profile.
3. Chips and orders
Chips ship to the address given at checkout. Prices include applicable sales tax as calculated at checkout. You may return unused chips within 30 days for a full refund. Chips carry a 1-year warranty against defects.
4. Tracking plan
Live GPS requires the monthly tracking plan, billed each month until you cancel. Cancel any time from your account; you keep access until the end of the paid month. No partial refunds.
5. Air travel
Chips use a small lithium battery within airline limits for checked baggage and automatically pause cellular signal in flight. You are responsible for following each airline's rules.
6. No guarantee
Location depends on cellular and GPS coverage, battery and airports. Bag Buddy helps you find luggage but does not guarantee recovery and is not an airline or insurer. Our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 12 months.
7. Stolen bags
Always contact police or the airline instead of recovering a bag yourself. Do not put yourself in danger.
